Upon arrival, you will be greeted by one or more of the three sisters. Our greatest passion is nature and everything that surrounds it. Daniela, the eldest, is a flower and plant enthusiast; you might find her immersed in the Mediterranean scrub searching for medicinal plants. Erika, the middle sister, is an animal lover and will surely be engaged in a lively conversation with the group of donkeys and horses that roam freely.
Ilaria, the youngest, studies natural and environmental sciences and will be delighted to discuss topics related to environmental protection and the animal kingdom with you.
We look forward to welcoming you with open arms… you won’t regret it!
The area surrounding Agriturismo Casa Casti is a remarkable corner of southwestern Sardinia, characterized by the wild nature of the Costa Verde and the genuine charm of a Sardinia that remains largely untouched by mass tourism. Located in the hamlet of Sant’Antonio di Santadi within the municipality of Arbus, this region features rolling hills interspersed with pastures, ponds, wooded areas, and stunning coastlines.
Behind the property rises Mount Arcuentu, a volcanic formation that holds a wealth of natural and scenic treasures. Here, the Mediterranean scrub extends to the summit, providing a habitat for wildlife that is still free to roam. Walking along its trails means immersing oneself in a silence that is only occasionally interrupted by the sounds of nature, amidst the fragrances of mastic, myrtle, and juniper.
Just a few kilometers away are some of the most beautiful beaches on the island. Piscinas, with its majestic golden dunes shaped by the northwesterly winds, resembles a desert that meets the sea. Torre dei Corsari and Pistis boast vast and wild shorelines, perfect for those who appreciate the sea in still-authentic settings. Nearby, Capo Frasca offers panoramic views and breathtaking sunsets over the ocean.
Another must-visit spot is the Marceddì lagoon, overlooking the eponymous fishing village, where one can still sense the atmosphere of days gone by. Crossing the charming wooden bridge leads to the Oristano coastline, featuring beaches like Is Arutas, famous for its quartz sand, and significant archaeological sites such as Tharros, a testament to the ancient Phoenician-Punic presence in the region.
Adding to the area's allure are the abandoned mines of Montevecchio, which are now open to visitors and narrate an important chapter of Sardinia's industrial history. The entire region is ideal for excursions, trekking, and horseback riding, offering ever-changing landscapes that alternate between hills, plains, forests, and the sea. It is a place that resonates with those seeking a deep connection to nature, history, and the island's most authentic identity.
